Reunited and it feels so good!! On Wednesday I flew down to San Diego and right after departing my plane I was whisked away in the car with my three brothers to drive up to Big Bear Lake to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The undeniable highlight of our 24-hour cabin trip was getting to be with my adorable nephew and niece.
The second we pulled up to the cabin I ran out and hugged River as it started to lightly snow.. it was picturesque! I’m so thankful for my brother snapping this photo of us.
We had so much fun just hanging out together. It’s been a while since all five of us siblings were all in the same place at the same time. We spent our short time there fawning over the kids (as usual), laughing way too much, cooking dinner together, hot tubbing in the icy cold while enjoying a few brews, and playing lots of games.
On our way out Thursday we stopped by The Village in Big Bear Lake and it was adorable! There was an entire strip of shops and restaurants. We conspicuously beelined straight for the candy store…
Our micro vacation was a total success. It was a fun way to celebrate my sister’s birthday as well as kick off the start of this work week. I cannot believe I’ll be down here for the next nine days away from my Lucas and Lincoln. Apparently Lincoln is crazy sick right now so Lucas has had to balance his usual 11 hour work days as well as taking care of our flu-ridden pup. I owe him a lot of thank-you’s when I get home 🙂
Have a nice weekend!
